Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® Announced This Year’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® in Metropolitan Detroit

July 20, 2018 – Warren, Mich. — Every year companies throughout Metropolitan Detroit compete to be named one of “Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®.” Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative and thoughtful human resources approach can be bestowed this honor. These select companies will be on honored Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance, downtown Detroit. The winning companies also compete for 13 elite awards, one granted for each category. Also, an overall winner that has excelled in all categories will be honored with a “Best of the Best Overall” award. The elite award winners will be revealed during the luncheon.

Also this year the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® awards program has raised the bar with a new category. Winners will be pooled by the size of their company. Employers with 1-50 employees will be benchmarked together and will be classified as Small Business; 51-300employees will be benchmarked together and will be classified as Medium Business; 301+employees will be benchmarked together and will be classified as Large Business. Allcompanies, no matter their size, can be a Best and Brightest Company to Work For® resulting inBetter Business, Richer Lives and Stronger Communities.

An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories. They include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; Strategic Company Performance and the Best of the Best Small Business, Medium Business and Large Business. The annual symposium and awards program will begin with registration, networking and an exhibit gallery at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m., educational programs will follow at 9:00 a.m. The Winners’ Award Reception and Elite Awards Presentation begin at 11:30 a.m.
