What Does this Advanced Specialization Mean for Customers?
As more businesses adopt a hybrid cloud model, technology partners must stay on the edge of new and emerging technologies and remain capable of delivering on technologies as they change. Microsoft developed the Windows & SQL Server Migration to Azure Advanced Specialization to help customers determine which partners have the technical abilities and proven experience to migrate and optimize Windows Server and SQL-Server-based production workloads to Azure.
Requirements for Obtaining the Windows & SQL Server Migration to Azure Advanced Specialization
Partners who demonstrate deep knowledge, extensive experience, and proven success in migrating Windows Server and SQL Server-based production workloads to Microsoft Azure may seek the Windows & SQL Server Migration to Azure Advanced Specialization. To gain and maintain this advanced specialization, a partner must:
- Maintain an active Gold Cloud Platform Competency
- Show an average of $10,000 USD Windows Server Virtual Machine (VM) Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) from at least three customers in the previous three months.
- Show an average of $3,000 USD from SQL Managed Instance (MI), SQL Database (DB), and SQL VM ACR from at least customers in the previous three months. At least $1,000 USD of that average must be from SQL MI or SQL DB.
- Have at least three individuals who have passed the Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification, Azure Data Engineer Associate certification, Azure Administrator Associate certification.
- Pass a third-party remote audit.
